There is no shortage of prom dresses in Lancashire. There is a shortage of anyone willing to promise you that nobody else at your prom is wearing yours.

One dress per school, county wide

We keep a register by hand. Choose a gown and we write it against your school and your prom year, in every colour it comes in, and it leaves the rail for that year group from that moment.

Because the register is kept by school rather than by town, it works just as well for a girl travelling down from Lancaster as it does for one walking in from Cleveleys. Two girls at different Lancashire schools can wear the same dress. Two girls at the same prom cannot.

That is only possible because we are one boutique with one rail, which is also why we are appointment only. We need to know who you are and which prom you are going to.

Where our girls travel from

Most weeks we see year elevens from across the Fylde coast, and regularly from Preston, Lancaster, Garstang and the Ribble Valley. The M55 puts us about forty minutes from Preston, and the coast road or the A585 brings you in from the north of the county.

We are at 112 Victoria Road West in Cleveleys, upstairs from Bridal by Brittany Ann. There is parking on the street and the promenade car park is two minutes away.

Worth the drive, or not?

Honest answer: if all you want is a dress, your nearest town will do. What you cannot get nearer home is the register. Nothing on a high street or a website can tell you whether someone from your prom has already bought the same gown, and for a lot of girls that is the only part of the day they actually worry about.

The other half of it is the room. No queue for a cubicle, no being handed a size and pointed at a curtain, no one else's mum three feet away. The rail is pulled before you arrive and nobody is trying to move you along.

Not our first rodeo

We are the prom side of Bridal by Brittany Ann, an established Lancashire bridal house, run by the same people in the same building. The appointment style, the fitting room and the alterations are all inherited from the bridal side rather than invented for prom.

Booking from anywhere in Lancashire

Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, by appointment only. Ordering for next summer closes at the end of February, and appointments fill as soon as schools confirm their dates, so the further you are travelling the more worth it is to book early.

Which parts of Lancashire do you cover?

All of it. We are in Cleveleys on the Fylde coast and we see girls from Blackpool, Fleetwood, Thornton, Poulton and Bispham most weeks, and regularly from Preston, Lancaster, Garstang and the Ribble Valley. The register is kept by school, not by postcode, so where you travel from makes no difference to the promise.

Is it worth travelling across Lancashire for a prom dress?

That is your call, but the thing you cannot get closer to home is the register. No high street shop can tell you whether someone else at your prom has already bought the same dress. We can, because we write every gown against your school and prom year and take it off the rail for that year group.
