A prom boutique, run like a bridal house

Where we came from

We are the prom side of Bridal by Brittany Ann, an established bridal boutique on the Lancashire coast. Everything we know about fitting rooms — how long to leave someone alone in front of a mirror, when to say nothing, how to tell whether a girl loves a dress or loves the reaction to it — came from there.

Prom deserves the same treatment. It is the first time most of our girls choose a gown for themselves, and it is very often the first time they see themselves in one.

Why one dress per school

Ask anyone who has been to a prom about the worst thing that can happen, and it is not the weather. It is the doorway moment: two girls, one dress.

So we made it impossible. When you choose your gown, we write your school and prom year against it, and that dress leaves the rail for your year group — in every colour, not just yours. It is a promise that only works at our size: one boutique, one register, kept by hand.

Why appointment-only

Partly because the register needs a conversation. Mostly because trying on prom dresses in a busy shop is nobody's idea of a good afternoon.

A fitting here is private. The rail is pulled for you before you arrive, the room is yours, and you can bring whoever's opinion you actually want. There is no checkout button on this website on purpose — every gown leads to a fitting. We asked our web designers in Blackpool to build it that way from the start.

Being honest about where we are

We opened this year, so we have not earned our own reviews yet. We would rather tell you that than borrow someone else's. If you want to see how the team works before you trust us with prom, the bridal boutique downstairs has years of reviews under its own name and the same people behind the counter.

What we stock

A curated rail rather than a warehouse — ballgowns, fitted gowns and A-lines, in a spread of colours, chosen because they photograph as well as they feel. You can see the whole collection here, and every gown has its own page with the colours it comes in.

Our ordering cut-off for the following summer is the end of February. After that, what is on the rail is what we can do.
